To ensure our patients are receiving the best care available, Davey Dental Care uses only the latest in dental technology. Advanced technology enables us to treat our patients faster and with less discomfort than ever before and to detect and treat dental problems before they become more serious. Dr. Randy Davey and Dr. Jaime Curtis invest in and use only technology that has been thoroughly tested and approved. Davey Dental Care attracts patients from Carmichael, Folsom, and throughout the Sacramento area because our cosmetic dentists are able to perform a wider range of procedures than other dentists, and perform them faster and more gently.
The CEREC® digital imaging system by Sirona Dental Systems™ allows us to custom make porcelain crowns and bridges in about an hour. The system has three main components – a camera to take detailed pictures of the patient’s teeth, a digital imaging system to create accurate restorations and show images of the proposed dental fixtures, and a small mill to shape the porcelain. With the CEREC® system, we can give our patients a preview of what their new crowns and bridges will look like before they are created. Procedures that used to take two office visits now can be completed in just one appointment. With over 6 million dental restorations created, and nearly 20 years of development, CEREC® technology is widely known for its quality results.

Air abrasion is a process by which we can eliminate tooth decay and prepare teeth for fillings without using a dental drill. Small aluminum oxide particles are sprayed onto the targeted area of the tooth using compressed air, gradually eliminating decay without the heat, pressure, or vibration of a dental drill. Air abrasion also dries and roughens the area on the tooth, preparing it to receive a filling. This technology is best used for shallow cavities and those patients who particularly dislike the dental drill. Patients from Carmichael, Folsom, and Sacramento have remarked on the gentleness of our cosmetic dentists, and air abrasion is one reason why.

The Odyssey® laser has been specifically designed for work with soft tissue – it gives Dr. Randy Davey and Dr. Jaime Curtis a faster, gentler way to perform gum surgery. Not only can the Odyssey® laser be used to treat infected and inflamed gums, it can also be used to reshape the gumline, eliminating a "gummy" smile for many patients. Laser periodontal treatment with the Odyssey® laser is minimally invasive, causing less swelling and bleeding than traditional methods. In addition, the laser sterilizes the treatment area and gives our dentists the ability to work with greater precision than ever before.
